The first running of the Highland Perthshire marathon is taking place this Saturday, the 1st September. I don't normally enter first runnings of marathons as I find it's better to let them bed in for a few years before taking part but this is actually my second marathon of 2012 where I'm taking part in an inaugural event, following on from the ill-fated Hull marathon on Easter Sunday where after much debate the results were declared null and void due to the official course measurement certificate being withdrawn after the event. Let's hope the HP marathon has a better first year than Hull.

Triplets news round up
Lots of triplets school news at the moment at both ends of the education spectrum as some triplets start school for the first time and others complete their secondary school studies and look forward to life afterwards.

A new school year - P3 is here
It's hard to believe the summer holidays are over already and the girls are back at school. It only seems like yesterday that I was putting all their school bags and back and forth folders away thinking it would be ages before I'd need to dig them out again.

Running in circles can be fun!
Last Sunday saw the 3rd annual running of Edinburgh Running Network's LP run. The run is based on a similar run in the US organised by the Terlingua Running Club in Houston, Texas which is now in it's 45th year.

What’s in a (Triplet) name?
The popularity of baby names has been much mentioned in the press this week as The Office for National Statistics released a list of the most popular first names given to babies whose births were
registered in England and Wales
in 2011. In Scotland the data is independently gathered and released by The National Records of Scotland.
