Triplets news round up

Lots of triplets school news at the moment at both ends of the education spectrum as some triplets start school for the first time and others complete their secondary school studies and look forward to life afterwards.

Firstly a story from the Daily Record about triplets who started school this week. Five-year-old triplets Aeva, Eilidh and Morna Graham started at Troon Primary in Ayrshire. Their parents have plumped for the same method of placement as us and have put all three girls in the same class rather than splitting them up. it's a strategy that has worked very well for us so I hope they really enjoy their time at school.

Next up we have 2 sets of triplets getting their A level results. Firstly from WalesOnline a report on Johannes, Fin and Lisa Neumann from St Davids in Pembrokeshire who achieved eight As and 2A*s between them. Well done to them.

And secondly a story from the Norwich Evening News about Hannah, Laura and Claire Lennox from
Paston Sixth-Form College who happily all achieved the results they needed too. They were following in the footsteps of their twin older siblings Emma and Kate. Sounds like an amazing family.

There were also several sets of triplets getting their GCSE results this week. Firstly from The Press in Yorkshire, a story of 2 sets of triplets, James, Lauren and Alex Morrall from Tadcaster Grammar School  and Bethany, Rebecca and Emma Collins from Lady Lumley’s School in Pickering who all also did well in their exams.

And from the Salisbury Journal the story of Emily, Julia and Philip Howard who again did well.

Finally some sad news from the Ilkeston Advertiser as the last of the famous Ilkeston triplets, Doreen Philips died this week.

Triplets were much rarer back then than they are now and their birth made headline news around the world. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for their family to successfully raise triplets with the medical facilities available to them at the time.
